Generosity Declaration

September 8, 2023
Cheri Coakley

It has been my calling and therefore my privilege to serve as Compass Church's treasurer for the past 3 years.  It's been such a blessing to be a part of the process of paying off our mortgages and becoming free of debt!  I praise God that we finally could see that day!

Stephen Coakley has been elected as our new treasurer so I can retire leaving no open position. Please give your financial concerns/questions to him going forward.

As treasurer, I have been a witness to the generosity of the people calling Compass Church their church. Thank you for your generosity.  As we get ready to move to our new location and to impact a new neighborhood, I'd like to encourage all of us to consider our giving again.

We have a wonderful opportunity ahead of us to follow after God in a new and fresh way...free from debt but dependent on one another to give the tithes and time that will be required to impact our new mission field near Highland Avenue for God.  If you are giving what God has called you to give, take a minute to read the following and celebrate the amazing partnership you have with our almighty Creator!  If God has been calling you to trust in Him more with your money, time, and resources, then please take a minute to read the following and consider Who has called you and how much we are indebted to Him for the gift of His son, Jesus.  All we have is His.

My Generosity Declaration

I, therefore, commit myself to foster a culture of biblical generosity and stewardship that will transform individuals and communities as I:
